VISTA, Calif. (FOX 5/KUSI) — A popular 14-acre botanical garden in Vista is set to unveil the newest addition to its grounds this week.

The new space will be nestled within the botanical sanctuary. A garden spokesperson explained that it will be a retreat where visitors can “escape and unwind” while “embracing the peace and tranquility” of the grounds.

“The garden will feature an array of stones of various sizes, providing a unique opportunity for both children and adults to create their own stacked stone formations,” said the spokesperson. “This popular activity symbolizes balance, tranquility, wellness, and peace, allowing participants to cultivate their intuition, patience, and creativity.”

No sneak peek photos were released, though the public is welcome to attend Thursday’s ceremony to see the new addition for themselves.

Alta Vista Botanical Gardens is open from 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, and from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. on the weekends. Admission is $5 for adults and $3 for children age 3 to 12.
