Newark and Sherwood District Council to review plans submitted for change of use to agricultural land in Norwell

Apr 27, 2023

A council will meet to discuss plans for a change of use to agricultural land.

The application requests permission to change the use of land at Flaggs Farm in Norwell from agricultural to equestrian use as well as the erection of a new stables or livestock building.

The new building would be finished in concrete block and vertical timber board cladding or coloured profile metal sheet cladding and cement roofing sheets.

Access to the site, which has been divided into paddocks for the grazing of horses, is provided via Caunton Road in Norwell.

Newark and Sherwood District Council previously granted consent in 2022 for two large buildings to be built as replacements for existing structures on the site.

One of these buildings has already been completed and the other is in the process of being constructed.

The development is considered to be within the open countryside and so the council will meet to make a decision on the application at a planning meeting this Thurday (June 8).
